Chance Flow (6m28s)


This piece started off as a guitarsolo impro on electric guitar but in a rather 'classical' way, with 
lots of fingerpicking, rubato phrasing and an 'extended' approach to harmony.

(Much) later bassguitar 
and drum parts were meticulously composed to this foundation, and a little extra guitar.

The intention was to have 'both worlds': 
the cohesion and sense of purpose from composed music combined with the intuitivity and sense for the 
unexpected from improvised music.
The title 'Chance Flow' reflects this. The flow seems driven 
by chance, not by calculated planning.
